Our Impact in the City of Yarra

More than 20 years of community connection through sport

For over two decades, Home Ground Hub and its community partners have supported children, young people and families across Richmond, Collingwood and Fitzroy.

Our programs use sport as a practical entry point to strengthen physical wellbeing, confidence, belonging, leadership and connection across Yarra’s public housing estates and surrounding communities.

What We Deliver

Our programs include:

  • weekly soccer, futsal and basketball

  • Yarra Futsal Ballers and Fitzroy Lions pathways

  • Toolangi Adventure Sports Camps

  • tournaments and community events

  • girls’ and women’s programs

  • school partnerships

  • youth coaching, mentoring and leadership

Through these programs, young people stay active, build friendships and connect with positive local role models.

Our Future

We aim to expand weekly programs, increase girls’ participation, create more paid youth leadership roles and strengthen pathways into education, employment, wellbeing and community participation.

Our long-term goal is to create a sustainable system where young people enter through sport and grow into the next generation of local leaders.
