Fitzroy Lions Soccer Club

Fitzroy Lions Soccer Club( FLSC) is a community focused soccer club, that utilises Soccer as a vehicle to engage families and young people to build positive social connections and strive for greatness .  

FLSC came about following the personal experience of its founder Abdulmalik Abdurahman, a young African man who desperately wanted to engage in sport and connect with his local community.

Initially FLSC operated purely as a social program but soon realised the youths engaging in the program were quite aspirational and needed greater structure and involvement to develop and build a pathway for themselves.

He recognised the benefits the players and broader community would gain in interacting together. Thus, he created a vehicle in which youths could unite and connect.
